A- Objective of the Workshop

The aim of the workshop was to inform the members of a University student association, who are also members of Ran'Eau, on the overall approach of the project “Development and Integrated Water Resources Management (DIWRM) in the Katsaoka watershed ” in order to encourage them to get involved in carrying out the project.

2. Overall approach of the DIWRM in Katsaoka watershed project

  • General objective of the project: Improve the quality of life of residents of the Katsaoka watershed through more responsible and sustainable use of available water resources with the participation of local authorities, communities and relevant stakeholders
  • Specific objectives: "Elaborate a Plan of Development and Integrated Management of Water Resources for the Katsaoka watershed, validated by a Basin Committee set up according to the legal and regulatory framework", "Mobilize the Basin Committee and the municipalities for the integrated management of water resources, the development of access to drinking water and water for all socio-economic uses", "Encourage the population of the Katsaoka watershed to contribute to environmental protection to face the negative impact of climate change in order to preserve water resources.” , Support the Basin Committee in the implementation of the Development and Integrated Management of Water Resources Plan in the Katsaoka watershed”
